There are no obvious slogans on the octopus (or in other photos of it), and given the context of an environmental protest: the octopus is just an octopus (can you hear me cheering?).

“contra el fascismo y el un frente unico” (against fascism and a united front).

Lot of symbology: octopus holding barrel of oil and, corn cob. Hands holding: tools, books, sickle.

Similar imagery to the SOA Watch Skulltopus, in the people versus the monster state/corporations.

I just thought this was kind of cool.

Another quick post: I just received a note that says this poster is currently hanging in the quad of the University of California during the current occupation of the Santa Cruz campus. You can find more information (reports, videos, photos) on the occupation at Socialism and/or Barbarism and Occupy California. It is a rare positive depiction of the monstrous (even if a bad pun).
